About this deal

Using the map, Harry sneaks into Hogsmeade and learns that Black is his godfather but divulged the Potters' whereabouts to Voldemort and murdered their mutual friend Peter Pettigrew. Even so, Columbus remained on as a producer alongside Heyman, as Columbus felt that such capacity offered him a better work-life balance, allowing him to not be present on the set all the time and spend time with his children. Radcliffe works very well with both David Thewlis, in the role of Lupin, and Gary Oldman, in the role of Sirius Black. He was "surprised by how difficult it was to pull off", comparing the role to Shakespearean dialogue.

Detail is excellent, there's no obvious edge enhancement, artifacting, or DNR which considering how much of the film is cloaked in fog, shadow, and darkness is quite a feat.As with the series' previous instalments, Prisoner of Azkaban was a large merchandising opportunity. The cast delivers some of their best performances in this film, especially Gary Oldman as Sirius Black and David Thewlis as Professor Lupin.

There is a requirement in the movie industry that the end credits must be included in their entirety on DVD or video releases.

Prisoner of Azkaban is dark and moody but is also an extremely handsome looking film that makes portions of Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets look like a high budgeted TV movie.

Seeing Lupin and Pettigrew scuffle as they leave the tunnel might not be the most important thing to see, but it should be there! It stars the actors from the preceding films in the series, except for the role of Albus Dumbledore, which sees Michael Gambon take over from the late Richard Harris.Despite these unfortunate changes, star Daniel Radcliffe finally begins to show us just how good an actor he's becoming - he's easily the best of the three, striking the right balance between his serious and light hearted moments without going over the top like his co-stars. The main action was filmed on a steadicam against bluescreen, and four minutes of background footage was shot separately. His vision for the Harry Potter world is nothing short of breathtaking, with stunning cinematography and a unique color palette that sets this film apart from its predecessors.

The supporting cast includes Emma Thompson, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Julie Walters, Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane, David Thewlis and Timothy Spall. Since Azkaban is my favorite Potter film I would have loved to have seen more of a behind the scenes look at the film. By now, as Harry approaches adolescence the tone of the narrative changes and we get a more interesting, more complex and darker story. I took over 20 shots like this one in the Shrieking Shack, where I'm sure that the fullscreen version doesn't make it clear who's pointing what at whom and who's looking in whose direction. Dawn French plays the Fat Lady, a painting at Hogwarts, [35] replacing Elizabeth Spriggs from the first film. While he's not exactly Beowulf or Hercules, or even Aquaman, what is supposed to make Ron redeeming to Hermione is that he's clearly not as dumb as he occasionally appears to be and he's clearly a brave guy, otherwise, he wouldn't have landed in Gryffindor along with the rest of his family. He and Hermione free Black, who flies away on Buckbeak, still a fugitive without proof of his innocence.
