About this deal

The booklet aims to provide an assessment tool that allows social workers to better understand the child’s needs, aspirations, and the resources available to them. It serves as a valuable tool for engaging with the child and planning effective support. Chrissy Metz relates her abusive and underprivileged childhood and how hard work and perseverance made her into the inspirational figure and television superstar she is today. As well as this fantastic All About Me booklet template, we have a huge range of extra teaching materials, activities and games that you can use to support your students in getting to know one and other at the beginning of term. Don’t miss the ‘Ask.Listen.Do’ session being staged at Expo 2018 on September 6 between 11.30am and 12noon as a mini theatre session on the NHS England/NHS Improvement stand.

The first week of starting a new term can be a stressful time for both children and teachers, so why not use this 'All about me' Book Activity to help break the ice between children and their new classmates. Learners can draw and colour each of the activities to create a book all about themselves. It’s a fun way for young children to share important things about themselves with their new classmates! This activity is super handy for transition periods and will be extra effective at the beginning of the school year. Kenji spins around. Yanks the gun out of Warner’s hand. “What the hell is wrong with you, man? I thought we were cool.”

I also created a free All About Me Book that you can print and use with your little ones. When they grow up they will have some special things for them to remember about their younger selves. I found Chrissy Metz to be inspiring before I read her memoir. Now, I feel like she's a literal hero for anyone who simply wants to live life as they are and not accept anyone else's standards for what beautiful, strong and successful is. And she manages to be kind and humble while doing it. My brother died just over three years ago and I was born with a learning disability, long term heart problems, diabetes, arthritis, dyslexia and dyspraxia, so I sometimes get my words in a muddle and I am very clumsy. I take lots of different tablets but I am just grateful to be alive and living in my own home.

I really had trouble with the change of voice throughout the book. It was really obvious on audio when Chrissy was retelling a personal event versus reading what was completed by a co-author/ ghost writer. Her speech was steady, she had appropriate pauses during her memories, and her language (y'all, girl) came through. When she was simply reading, she had vocal emphasis on odd words that makes it obvious that she didn't write that part. From the #1 New York Times bestselling creative team of Jamie Lee Curtis and Laura Cornell comes a timely picture book about immigration. Raising important identity issues like “Where did we come from?” and “Who are we?” This Is Me is as delightful as it is important, sure to stimulate dinner table conversation. My copy was hit by a freak rainstorm when I left it out on the veranda one evening. It swelled to double the size and when the sun-dried approach failed to work, I went for the more radical bake-in-the-oven strategy. This left me with a crinkle-cooked book, which is therefore currently lying under a hundredweight of art books and encyclopaedias. Given the significance of baking and household chores in Janice Galloway's work generally I found this a nice irony. This book is available from Project Gutenberg. Project Gutenberg is a trusted book provider of classic ebooks, supporting thousands of volunteers in the creation and distribution of over 60,000 free eBooks. Quietly, she says, “I feel like I just spoiled the surprise. You’re not supposed to see any of this until the wedding night.”It is so sad that she was a child that were afraid of adults, that was neglected, abused and was not protected. I really liked how this was a story within a story. The story was very simple making it easy to read and understand the theme of everyone being different. For me, the best part of this story was how it directly invited the reader to think about what they would bring in this situation.
